2 › Why do webdesigners charge so much but you offer low prices?
"Excellent, friendly service from Skyte Media" Mandy Townley (Aj Computers)

Other webdesigners can charge anywhere from £15-£40 per hour and others provide packages. This is to cover the cost of many of the expenses that are accompanied by webdesign.

Skyte Media are a relatively newly established business we offer low prices but aim at providing the best work that is possible to meet your budget. We are also a small business which means that we do not charge you tax which automatically makes us 17.5% cheaper than the 'high flyers'.

3 › What are the advantages of having a website?
  • A web site has been proven to increase the sales of a company dramatically.
  • It helps to get a company or person recognised thus increasing corporate identity.
  • If your web site looks professional then the customer will think that the company is professional.
  • Many people have access to the internet and they find it easier to contact you via a web site. If you haven't got a web page then you are missing out on all of these potential customers.
  • Your company will be advertised internationally allowing you to sell to a wider audience.
  • Customers search for products and services online before making purchases which means that they will contact you instead of the competition.
  • Your business is never actually closes therefore your customers can browse or shop 24/7. It is easily accessible both day and night.
  • Consumers will educate themselves if they have a web site to refer to. This will reduce the amount of phone calls you receive with simple enquiries.
  • Your web site can provide 'after sales' information which will reduce the number of custom service employees you have on staff.
  • There is a potential for your web site to become a resource of information for both the public and your industry. This will boost your corporate image.
  • You can inform your visitors about the structure of your company, your community involvement, the products and services that you offer, awards and employment opportunities. This will give your customers more confidence in your company and people prefer to do business with companies that they know something about.
  • A web site can be accessed at home when a person is most receptive.
  • Information can be updated regularly.
  • It gives you a wider range of potential customers such as those in rural communities that only shop on the internet.
  • It gives you the opportunity of being on equal ground with the largest of companies.
  • Your web site will be available to 30-50 million people.
  • Efficient advertising which means much lower costs than traditional printing and television advertising.
